TEACH Public Schools are open to all students in California. Admission will be granted to students whose names are drawn in the lottery to be held the first week of March 2020 at 1846 W. Imperial Hwy. Los Angeles, CA 90047. All other applicants will be placed on a waiting list in the order their names are drawn. The waiting list will not carry over from year to year. Students who do not attend the school must fill out a new application in future years. If you have questions or need assistance completing an application, please call 323-872-0808.
TEACH Public Schools do not require a parent/legal guardian/student to provide information regarding a student’s disability, gender, gender identity, gender expression, nationality, legal or economic status, primary language or English Learner status, race or ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, or any other characteristic that is contained in the definition of hate crimes set forth in section 422.55 of the Penal Code, or any other information that would violate federal or state law, prior to admission, participation in any admissions or attendance lottery, or pre-enrollment event or process, or as a condition of admission or enrollment.
TEACH Public Schools do not request or require submission of a student’s IEP, 504 Plan, or any other record or related information prior to admission, participation in any admissions or attendance lottery, or pre-enrollment event or process, or as a condition of admission or enrollment.
Lottery Applications for 2023-2024
The application for the 2023-2024 school year will be made available both online (via SchoolMint) and in paper beginning November 1st, 2022. The open-enrollment window for lottery consideration will be held until February 26th, 2021. Our TEACH Public Schools lottery will take place on March 12, 2023, at 1 pm (in-person attendance is not required as you will be contacted via phone and/or email with your updated intent to enroll update). However, this does not obligate your child to attend the TEACH schools of your choice, nor does it guarantee admission.
Each child can only have one application per school in the lottery. Duplicate forms are not allowed and will not be included in the lottery. The lottery is not based on when you apply or how many forms are completed. Admission priority will first be given to siblings of currently enrolled students and to Children of teachers and staff (up to a cap of 10% of enrollment); further admissions priority will be given to students who live within the boundaries of the Los Angeles Unified School District.
