TEACH Math Placement Policy

This policy of TEACH Public Schools (“TPS” or “Charter School”) Board of Directors (“Board”) has been adopted to establish a fair, objective, and transparent protocol for placement in mathematics courses for students entering 9th grade, to ensure the success of every student and to meet the Legislative intent of the California Mathematics Placement Act of 2015.

TEACH Public Schools is committed to providing a “fair, objective, and transparent” mathematics placement policy for all students entering 9th grade.  We at TEACH Tech Charter High School have developed criteria and protocols for accurately evaluating and placing students in appropriate mathematics courses that will best support our commitment and vision for ALL students to be college and career-ready.

Below is a copy of our policy. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact the TEACH Tech Charter HS Main Office at 323-872-0707.
