Principal's Corner

Dear TEACH Tech Students, Parents, Teachers and Community Members,  

My name is James Cordero and I have been a member of the TEACH family since 2022, where I served as an educator and department leader, teaching United States History, AP U.S. History, Law and Journalism. I have also coached our CIF Varsity Boys and Girls Volleyball teams for the last two years, contributing to the spirit and camaraderie of the TEACH community. Out of my 25 years in the education field, for more than a decade I gained experience and understanding in leadership through my principal roles under the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. It is my desire to bring that experience and understanding to my new role as your principal.

At TEACH Tech Charter High School, we’re all about preparing our Rams to thrive—academically, professionally, and personally! We believe in the power of lifelong learning and are committed to helping every scholar succeed in college, work and beyond. This year, we're charging ahead with a focus on developing higher level academic skills and critical thinking, encouraging students to make strong claims and back them up with evidence—skills they'll use for life. We’re also continuing student academic growth through Project-Based Learning, where students tackle real-world challenges and grow through hands-on exploration. Together, as partners, let’s make this our most powerful year yet, Rise Up Rams!
