Good morning TEACH families!



Happy St. Patrick's Day! As always, here are a few community announcements to share with you this morning:



- The Youth Orchestra of Los Angeles (YOLA), sponsored by the LA Philharmonic, continues their FREE music classes. Mondays and Wednesdays! Ages 7-14 years of age. No experience is necessary and all instruments and equipment is provided! Each fall and spring session will end in a performance! The schedule is as follows:



Wednesdays - 4pm-5:30pm - Recorder, Percussion and Ukulele


Fridays - 4pm-5:30pm - Mariachi

- Metro has announced their Transportation Career Academy Program (TCAP) for students 16-18 years of age. TCAP provides summer internship opportunities to current junior and seniors (class of 2026 and 2027), who depend on transit. This program offers students an opportunity to learn about careers in transportation and how to apply classroom theories and concepts to "real-world" work situations at one of the nation's largest public transportation agencies. You must also maintain a 2.5 Grade Point Average to be eligible. For more information on this program along with application: here..The deadline to apply THIS Friday, March 20th.



- The organization Children's Collective, Inc. is celebrating the commencement of the spring season with a Spring Distribution event on Saturday, April 4th from 10am-1pm. They will be distributing free food and will be having Easter baskets for kids! If interested please fill out this form here. The Children's Collective is located at 915 W. Manchester Ave. Please see attached flyers.
