TEACH Parent Announcements - 12/9

Good afternoon TEACH families,

We have several important announcements this afternoon to share with you:

Algin Sutton Recreation Center will be hosting their monthly Community Meeting TONIGHT starting at 6 pm. This is a very important opportunity to learn about upcoming events, crime reports, upcoming job opportunities, and to voice your opinion! The address is 8800 S. LAUSD's Division of Special Education invites you to very important monthly parent virtual workshops. The purpose of Parent Counseling and Training (PCT) is to offer parents information on child development, to enhance knowledge and understanding of your child’s special needs, and to assist in acquiring skills to support the implementation of their child’s Individualized Education Program (IEP). Very important information for many of our families. Their next virtual workshops will be tomorrow, Wednesday, December 10th, in English from 8:30 am-10:30 am, and Thursday, December 11th, in Spanish from 8:30 am - 10:30 am. The County of Los Angeles Department of Public Health hosts virtual presentations on very important topics. Tomorrow, Wednesday, December 10th, from 9:30 am to 10:30 am, they will be hosting a presentation on the topic of Recognizing and Responding to an Overdose with Naloxone. The CalFRESH Program will be having changes soon. They are providing free webinars to guide everyone through these upcoming changes. These changes include topics under issuances, deductions, eligibility requirements for non-citizens, and various work requirement information. Please attend online if you can.
