Good morning TEACH families!



Here are several community announcements to share with you this morning:



- Los Angeles County South LA (SPA 6) is hosting a Public Health Talks online webinar on Social Media Safety today from 11am-12pm. They will delve into the significance of reducing harm associated with social media, explore its impact on overall well-being, and identify signs of emergencies related to its usage. Learn how to implement Social Media First Aid to address excessive engagement and discover ways to enhance the safety of your social media experience. - The local organization Rising Communities is hosting a Get A Job Training event this Thursday, February 19th from 5pm-6pm at the Little Portion Social Center located at 8874 S. Broadway. They will provide information specific to construction & hospitality training and a dual enrollment component with Los Angeles Trade Tech College. For more information, please call 323-915-3801. - Los Angeles Southwest Community College (1600 W. Imperial Hwy) provides also tuition-free non-credit certificate programming. The Noncredit Adult and Continuing Education Services (NACES) Center provides student-centered services and learning opportunities that enable noncredit students to achieve their personal, academic, vocational, and civic goals in order to transition to credit programs and become more active members of their communities.
